Hi, I received this question from Ben a long time subscriber. I just met him for the first time in Chicago. We had a great meeting. Sue
Dear Sue,
I have a question I wanted to ask you.
1) I know that when a store doubles coupons that they take the loss on the extra amount they doubled. But why do some manufacturer coupons state right on the front of them ‘DO NOT DOUBLE’. I never understood that because the manufacturer doesn’t pay for the doubling of the coupon. They just pay for the face amount and the store takes the cost of the doubling themselves. Ben
Dear Ben, It’s my opinion that since these are the Smart Coupons in the blinking display I the supermarket, the store and the manufacturer have agreed to limit the liability of the coupon doubling cost.
